What we are

A Ugandan sports development initiative founded by former Uganda Cranes midfielder Tonny Mawejje to help young people develop through football, mentorship and opportunities to learn.

TM6 Foundation exists to turn interest into opportunity: for young people, for the adults who support them, and for the partners who want to help Ugandan talent grow.

Tribute

A legacy that inspires

Leadership, dedication and a commitment to helping others grow. Ahead of Tonny's 2022 testimonial, Uganda Cranes coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojević reflected on his contribution to Ugandan football and his influence on younger players.

"He was an amazing and incredible player to work with."

Why TM6 exists

Opportunity, not talent alone

When his family could not meet school fees, Tonny received a bursary at Masaka Secondary School, an opportunity described in a Daily Monitor interview published in September 2022. That experience shaped his belief that opportunity, not talent alone, decides how far a young person can go.

That belief is the foundation of TM6: that with the right support, mentorship and learning opportunity, young people can develop far beyond the circumstances they were born into.

What we are building

Three areas of focus

Community football clinics

Bringing young people together through structured football activity that builds skill, confidence and teamwork in a safe, supervised setting.

In development

Mentorship and learning

Pairing football with mentorship and learning support, so talent on the pitch is matched by opportunity off it, reflecting Tonny's own bursary story.

In development

The Uganda Talent Hub

A coordinated approach to community clinics, player development records and carefully managed opportunities for young talent, developed with Joy for Humanity.
