TM6 Foundation is a Ugandan sports development initiative founded by former Uganda Cranes midfielder Tonny Mawejje to help young people develop through football, mentorship and opportunities to learn. Talent is everywhere in Uganda; opportunity is not. TM6 works to bridge that gap on the pitch, in the classroom and through the adults and organisations around a young person.
Tonny Mawejje, also reported as Tony Mawejje, is a former Uganda Cranes midfielder. He helped Uganda qualify for and played at AFCON 2017, ending a 38-year absence from the continental tournament. His playing career ended in 2022. When his family could not meet school fees, Tonny received a bursary at Masaka Secondary School, an experience that shaped his belief that opportunity, not talent alone, decides how far a young person can go.
Read the full founder story, career overview and bursary account on Tonny's story.
In 10 July 2025, TM6 Foundation and Joy for Humanity announced a partnership for community football clinics and a digital talent platform, launched at an event in Kyazanga, Lwengo District. The Uganda Talent Hub builds on that shared history as the next phase of the work, and is in development.
